Design 4 are proud to have worked along side the NHS during the start of the Covid pandemic March 2020. When PPE supplies were at an all time low with hospitals struggling to get hold of some of the basic equipment required to protect frontline NHS staff Design 4 stepped in to manufacture much needed face visors.
Within a week Design 4 studio based in Leeds had designed and started to make thousands of visors in their workshop for Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust.
"The key was to use the materials and basic processes that were available to us, namely guillotine, hole punch, line bender and hard work. We supplied 9,600 visors to the NHS, Care Homes and the odd hairdresser." Peter Viner Design Director at Design 4 Product Design Studio.
